10/20/2016 0 Comments Photo #3:For this weeks picture I shot light painting. I loved this shoot only problem with it was how long it took. I created this scene on purpose by spreading my comforter across my living room floor and adding pillows and my little sisters stuffed animals. I did this to make the picture more interesting and create a kind of unreal, dream-like feel. My sister helped me by alternating between drawing or pressing the camera button. Overall I liked this project and honestly wish I could do it again. ISO:100 f/7.1 13/1 shutter speed.

10/20/2016 0 Comments Photo #2:For this photo I shot still life. I set up a candle, a little decoration I made, and my necklace from homecoming. I was trying to create a more glamorous feel. I edited the picture by editing exposure, and altering the hue. I also changed the color of the floor by selecting it and using a big brush to color it a little darker, I didn't really like the bright feel of it before editing. I shot at an ISO of 100 and 2.5 second in order to create a clear picture. Overall, this photo project went easily and it was more editing than taking the actual picture and the before and after difference after editing is very significant. ISO:100 f/8.0 2.5/1 shutter speed. 10/14/2016 0 Comments Photoshop Assignment #2:For this assignment our job was to retouch an image of a car from the auto show. What I did was change the hue of the car, remove some of the light glares, tint the windshield, make the background black, and add text. I think the most challenging thing to do was to remove the background because if you kept adjusting where the selection is too much then you could end up making it even worse. I think the easiest thing to do was cloning and it was really cool to see. Overall I think this project helped me learn a lot more about photoshop and I will definitely be using some of these techniques in some of my future photos.
10/10/2016 0 Comments Pop Art Assignment:Today in class we used the Andy Warhol idea to create pop art. I found an image I liked on Tumblr and put it in black and white, adjusted the threshold and changed the color 4 separate times. I also had enough time to start making another pop art as seen below. Overall I had no major issues and I think this assignment helped me better understand and get more comfortable in photoshop and just overall I loved learning something new :)
10/10/2016 0 Comments Photo Assignment #1:I did my assignment this week on animals because I was already going to an apple orchard/ petting farm called Apple Charley's and I knew I could probably get some pretty good pictures. I chose the picture of the ostrich as my #1 picture because it just came out so clear and really put the focus on the ostrich and it's fur. For most of my pictures I set the shutter and aperture and ISO myself even though it was difficult trying to keep up with my sisters because I was sitting there adjusting the camera. I also noticed that when I used auto my pictures came out more blurry than just doing it myself. I got better at adjusting the camera and using the elements of composition to create a more interesting shot. 10/10/2016 0 Comments Composition Assignment:The goal of this assignment was to take 11 pictures that demonstrated the 11 elements of composition and get a greater understanding of the elements of composition. I learned more about how to use the camera and how to use my creativity to take good pictures. 10/10/2016 1 Comment All About Me:I come from Saline MI, I love cats ,music, and cheerleading. I live with both my parents, my 3 sisters, and 3 of my kittens. In my free time I love to go skating with my best friend Bella and volunteer at the Humane Society.
I chose to take this class because I want to learn how to take better photos for Instagram and know how to successfully take good pictures of my future family. I don't have much experience in photography, I remember me and my sister having 'photoshoots' at my grandmas' farmhouse and in the fall in the woods around my house so that's about all the experience I have. |
